Does not work and Crash

New version simply does not work for me. All the lights disappear from each group, on/off button doesnt work, lightbulb button crashes app. The ONLY thing that works is the master on/off button. Avoid the upgrade until fixed.

Well done

The UI is not the most intuitive out of the box,and can feel almost frustrating. After doing some reading and getting things set up, Im sold. This is without a doubt the most feature rich, powerful hue app Ive ever used. Cant wait to see this app progress over time.

Great app! No Documentation.

This is a great app once you figure out how to use the rich features. I actually was so frustrated with it that I returned it the first time I bought it. However, I have a second home and called Philips Hue customer support on how to use 2 bridges. The rep said use iConnectHue to easily operate 2 bridges. I purchased it again and by watching their videos figured out how to use it. The features are so deep that I am sure I am missing the knowledge to use some of them. Please add more documentation. However, it still gave it 5 Stars as it is that good!

Best Hue App

This is a great application that does many complex items. Support is fantastic and updates keep getting churned out on a regular basis. One of the best Hue applications out there!

Use it every day

Great app and super convenient settings. I use it every day for reading and waking up. The light comes on at the same time as my alarm, so it makes it easier to open my eyes early in the morning. Love the variety of settings and color combinations. Its definitely worth the few bucks it costs, much better than the original free Phillips app. Also, the support is great. When I had a question I got a response on the same day. Highly recommended!

The Best Alternate App For Philips Hue

This is hands down the best 3rd party app to control and manage your hue lights. Anytime there are bugs or glitches, the developer is very quick to help and update the app.

Better than the actual Hue App

Philips could learn a few things from this developer! Great app!

Super finicky and unreliable

While its good for setting stuff on the fly, its pretty bad at making presets. Often times, mostly when using the "Mood" setting that cycles through colors, multiple lights change to the same colors with no way of making it more random. Also, it takes multiple presses before the app actually realized which group youre picking when trying to set scenes on hue tap devices. Often times the presets I save for these end up not matching what I had the lights at and editing presets is too confusing. Overall the app is just too difficult to work with reliably.

Full of bugs and paywalls

The app is very buggy, adds virtually no new functionality, and hides features behind paywalls

Long Time User Highly Recommends

I have used this app for about 6 months with my Phillips Hue bridge and light bulbs. Easy to setup and use. I have a group of lights set to turn on and off at a certain time each day. Only have to adjust for DST. Highly recommend.

Expected more for the price

Update: cannot find bridge after network change. No way to delete "old" bridge and re-add. The free Philips app has more functionality for free. This app charges for every feature separately (eg widget). On top of charging $5 to get the app initially.

The best Hue app.

Having downloaded and paid for many hue apps, none meet the power and configurability of iConnectHue. If you are a hue power user, this is your app.

Not worth it

Really thought the app was going to enhance the way I use my hue lights but it really offers barely more than the original hue app and isnt easier to use. Big fail in my opinion.

Effective for troubleshooting

I had one stubborn bulb that would not pair at all with my Hue bridge. This app was the only solution I found that finally recognized the bulb and got it added. Great app! Thanks!

Hands Down the Best Hue App Out There

I have over 70 Hue lights installed in my home and have tried every one of the apps out there. To date, I have found nothing that comes close to this app in terms of features, value, reliability and functionality. In additional, where features were less than intuitive for me, support has been great and has steered me in the right direction. There have been constant improvements in this app which shows a strong commitment to the future of the app. I recommend this app very highly! Updated Dec 2015 - I’ve added more devices, more Hue Taps and more third party light strips and the app has handled everything flawlessly. I also added multi-bridge support and now have a bridge for upstairs and one for downstairs. App handles this effortlessly. Great APP!

Powerful, but expensive, confusing and little help available

This app solves several problems with the Hue and its related app. It easily found lights and devices the Hue app did not and it allows multiple actions per button with the dimmer and hue tap. But, it is excessively expensive as it must be purchased separately for every device and in app purchases cost to much for the risk of yet another confusing feature. The creators seem to take pride in creating their own language for features, with no help in figuring them out. Their approach seems to be figure it out yourself, we cant be bothered. While it is powerful and seemingly rich with features, unless you have excessive time on your hands to learn to use it the frustration is probably not worth it.

The best app for Hue

First let me just say that my son put these in my home because he is very enthusiastic about home automation in every way. He was even working at making his own app for the hue lights himself and has an intense knowledge of how they are programmed and how they work. When I downloaded and started using this app he was thrilled that it does most of the things he was wanting to with his own ideas. We have had hue Iights since early on when they were introduced, and have been using their default app until just recently. This app is far superior in its design and function. If you are used to using the standard hue app you will have to learn a new approach, but once you do you will see that this is how it should have been from the start. Phillips just missed the boat on their default hue app. This is definitely the one to have and I am surprised and very pleased with the Apple Watch implementation. My whole family loves how easy it is to create and use preset lighting scenes. Its also very easy to copy them from one device to another. Its just so much more well thought out than the default app. Get it, you wont regret it, especially if you have an Apple Watch.

Overly confusing - IN APP PURCHASES - doesnt work- hue app is better

Wasted my money on this app. After a few days went back to the hue app. Be prepared to pay for in app purchases and to pay AGAIN if you want the app on your iPad. App is overly confusing and there is no documentation to explain how it works. Isnt logical when you experiment. Save your money.

Great all-around Hue app

This is my go-to for comprehensive control of the Hue bulbs in my house. No other app is as fulsome and refined as this one. Whether you want detailed control of your set-up or an easy way to group and turn lights on and off, this is the way to go. It is also nice that the alarms are baked into the bridge, which other apps do not seem to offer. I would love the ability to integrate or build "moving" scenes that change color (e.g. those in Espresso and OnSwitch), especially for sunrise wake up (reddish to gold to bright sun). Right now you have to set one color and have it fade from off to fully on, which is how the official Hue app works.

Worthy companion to $70 light bulbs

Much easier to use than the official app. Easily turn on/off one or all lights in a group, customize colors or set schedules. No, its not perfect, just far ahead of the standard app. Plus, you dont have to use those annoying little pictures to set up or select a scene.
