iConnectHue for Philips Hue App Reviews

I was hesitant to buy this app because there are so many free hue apps that work. Ive tried multiple apps, often multiple together for their different features. iConnectHue gives me all the features I was getting from those multiple apps and more all in one place. I factory reset my bridge (I deleted HomeKit "home" by accident and was having trouble with getting HomeKit working with the bridge again.) Finding and pairing my existing lights was fast and painless with this app. The options for hue switches (dimmer and tap) are great. My living room dimmer switch "on" button will now cycle through lamps on, overheads on, and all on with the multi press options. Setting up all my switches was quick and easy; The switch settings are also easy to change if you need to. There are a couple of in app purchases. These are one time buys (no bag of gems lol) that add some really useful functions to the app. The prices seem appropriate for the functions they add. There are tool tips for pretty much all settings, a help page, faq, and tutorial all within the app. Ive been using this app for several weeks and I am glad I bought it. Its the only hue app I use now. If you are on the fence, its definitely worth it.

iConnectHue has to be the most full-featured Philips Hue app for iOS I have ever found. Works flawlessly, receives regular updates from a fantastic developer, and even outperforms the official Philips app in both functionality and ease-of-use.

Tons of features and easy UI on top of powerful code. Flexible, customizable, fast! Miles ahead of any other app out there!

Love all the new features. Especially animations on the bridge and secondary presses for switches.

First, I dont leave reviews often. This is probably my 3 review ever. This is the BEST hue app there ever has been. As a previous Apple employee and all around techie, I was of course an early adopter of Hue bulbs. I now have 48 bulbs, several color strips, and my entire home and office is lit by Hue. I have installed and tested every hue app that has come on the market and this one is leaps and bounds above the rest. The attention to detail, the expandability, the ease of use, and the feature set are top notch. With the most recent update featuring new animation modes, I can now almost get rid of another app I use to program complex animations during Halloween and Christmas. The Apple Watch app is handy, but the BEST feature of this App is the widget builder. Yes, its an in app purchase, but trust me when I say its well worth whatever it costs. You can create any different mix of settings and put them in your Notification Center for extremely fast access to your favorite scenes, dimmers, or timers. Seriously. You dont know me, and I dont know you, but trust me. 5 stars. If I had to say anything negative it would be about the animations, but 99% of people wont need the features I do, so I cant complain. Thank you developers for building this app. I especially appreciate the attention to detail and the quality design. Being an art director at an ad agency I know good design when I see it and this is not only the best feature set, but also designed. Cheers and kudos. -jtm

The more I use the app the more I see its the most powerful app out there, so I am upping my rating to five stars, it can be intimidating at first, but worth taking the time to get used to it. The author has his own take on scenes and groups, with the preset functionality, but is actually pretty cool and intuitive once you figure it out. The best part about the app however is the control it gives you over the dimmer switch, now that is awesome and powerful!! Main functionality I use and what led me to buy the app..however now I can see myself using it more then all the other apps I have, easily worth the $$, if you can afford a $60 light bulb you can afford a $5 app..

Love it. I have many rooms with the lights - and this gives me the control to customize each one with hardly any effort. So much better than the hue app.

Compare the features, compare the intuitive nature of the apps, compare the reliability, compare things like multi bridge support, and use this app for a while, youll find that this is hands-down The best app out there for anyone who wants to reliably and effectively control their Hue (and other Zigbee) lights. This puts all others to shame!!

Get this app if you have Hue. It does all the things that the Hue app *should* do. I have had absolutely zero problems with it and it works perfectly. The app developer is constantly adding features.
